About a quarter of the adults in this country are living with some type of chronic pain disorder that creates physical, social, psychological, and emotional stressors in their lives and in the lives of the people who love them. Yoga practice can’t offer a “cure” for chronic pain, but it can strengthen the body, reduce stress, and serve as a tool for coping with pain. It can also help individuals with chronic pain find a time and place where they can be fully in the present, and to find something more like comfort in their own skin. In this three week series, we’ll consider the roots of chronic pain, engage in meditative practice, and participate in a gentle yet active vinyasa flow, suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners. Commit to coming, and know that you’ll be glad you did. $48 for the series. Pre-register by two days before the start date.
